• use your phone to take 3 selfies

• each should show a different emotion

• print your best images out on 8.5 x 11" paper

• use your B or ebony pencil to scribble on the back until it is all black 

• flip your paper over and place it anywhere on the sketchbook and with a ballpoint pen trace over some of the edges of the image using a contour line

• overlap and do it again and again until you have an abstract composition

• clarify your pencil marks with a contour line using a sharpie marker

• add color if you'd like
