  • use your phone to take 5 selfies

  • you are the figure and the environment is the ground

  • each photo should show you in the space where you make art from different angles

  • pick the strongest photo and use it for reference

  • look in a mirror and draw what you see in your sketchbook

  • and try not to sketch

  • closely observe and draw yourself in your art-making environment

It's always a good idea to see how other artists work. While you do not want to copy a style or image, you can get a lot of ideas and inspiration by observing the work of others.
